Our Story and Vision

K-TAM Radio is a location and quest objective within the MMO Defiance, from which we launched as an in character RP online radio in 2013. From 2013 to 2018 K-TAM Radio operated as if from inside the world of Defiance using lore from the game and TV series along with information given to us by Defiance Developers, that was not general knowledge, that helped us flesh out our story telling of events in the game. The concept to operate as if it existed within the game like a live version of GTA and other similar games in game radios. When Defiance shut down we continued dipping our feet in other games ultimately choosing to create our own “Core Lore” universe where we could “Wreck It Ralph” into other game worlds and continue to tell fun and interesting stories. Ultimately closing shop in 2018 with streaming services taking away a lot of the general interest in Online Radio.

With the end of Defiance the creators and staff devined our Core Lore Universe from which KTAM Radio could “exist” in virtually any other game world to continue on with Game themed music, parodies and advertisements supporting the gaming community. In late 2024 interest in brining K-TAM back grew and the process to bring it back online begun. This was before the announcement by Fawkes Games that Defiance would return in April 2025. 

We are relaunching in Defiance and rewriting our old stories and with luck will bring back some of the characters that made K-TAM. We hope you will join us as we continue to tell the stories of the Bay area and old San Francisco.
